Altera Provideded Command Line Tools for the Nios II Embedded Design Suite
 
This guide describes the Nios II command line tools that are provided as part or the Nios II EDS (Embedded Development Suite). First, the Altera-provided tools are covered, followed up by summaries of the GNU-related tools. Most of the commands covered in this volume can be found in the bin subdirectory of your Nios II EDS installation. (i.e.: $SOPC_KIT_NIOS2\bin)

• All of the mentioned commands are available from within a Nios II Command Shell. Most commands produce help by entering ‘<command name> --help’ from within this shell.
• On Windows platforms, the command shell is invoked by clicking on the appropriate icon or desktop shortcut. On Linux platforms, $SOPC_KIT_NIOS2/sdk_shell starts a Nios II Command Shell (Bash shell with pre-configured environment).
